  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (or oil for dairy-free)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips, nuts, or raisins Optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Add flour, baking soda, and salt into the wet mixture. Stir until just combined – do not overmix! Fold in optional ingredients like chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread evenly with a spatula for even baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan and slicing.
